<li class="x_MsoPlainText" style="">Newcomers sponsored under the PSR and BVOR programs who are within their sponsorship period may apply for the CERB if they are eligible to do so.</li></ul>

<li class="x_MsoPlainText" style="">Financial support received under the CERB during the sponsorship period is considered to be earned income (in the same way Employment Insurance is) and sponsors can make dollar for dollar deductions from the monthly income
support they provide during the sponsorship period if the amount the newcomer receives from the CERB is more than 50% of the monthly income support being provided by sponsors (for further information on the 50% threshold and when sponsors can make deductions
on the basis of earned income, please see Q.24 of the FAQs on Post-Arrival Financial Support at:
