Are you expecting the arrival of a sponsored refugee? Are you looking for assistance with providing settlement support? If you answered yes, then we could match you with a settlement worker!


RSTP’s Settlement Support Connection Team has trained over 300 settlement workers across Canada who are ready to provide settlement support to sponsored refugees.


HOW IT WORKS:


Our team will connect your group and the sponsored refugee with a settlement worker, who — if needed and when possible — speaks the native language of the newcomer. The settlement worker will assess the newcomer’s needs and provide professional settlement services to complement your support. Settlement workers are funded by IRCC and provide their services at no cost to you or the refugee. These services include:


·         Assistance with completing and submitting government applications,

·         English/French classes (childcare provided),

·         referral to specialized services,

·         credential evaluation,

·         orientation and enrollment in schools,

·         youth/senior/gender-based programs,

·         adult education and training,

·         employment,

·         And more!



Attached you will find a list of trained settlement workers across Canada by city and province and the most common languages spoken by the trained settlement workers in that province.
