REPORT TO: Senior Manager, CRT
HOURLY RATE: $28.54
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position coordinates the delivery of the Refugee Sponsorship Dispute and Conflict Resolution project, providing Refugee Sponsorship Groups and organizations with: a) conflict resolution training and coaching, b) specialized community mediation for sponsor groups for conflicts within them and with other stakeholders or refugees, in collaboration with the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP).
The position works in close consultation with the Senior Manager, CRT, the CRT Team and associates to plan, implement and deliver the project. This position is part of CUPE Local 2289.
MAJOR DUTIES:
* Complete implementation of the partnership with the RSTP
* Assist CRT and the RSTP to create the Advisory Committee, provide the committee ongoing support and assist with vetting the results
* In consultation with the RSTP, expand and maintain a detailed work plan for the project and record of its activities
* Jointly with the Coordinator of Community Mediation, the RSTP and others, create a plan and protocols for the provision of community meditation services to the project
* Consults with the Coordinator of Social Enterprise, the RSTP and the associates assigned, to design training and orientation curricula and materials for Community Mediation volunteers of member services of the Ontario
* Community Mediation Coalition (OCMC) and in similar services across Canada, to do community mediation in refugee sponsorship settings
* Develop, along with the RSTP and others, and design training and orientation to community mediation curriculum and materials, for Refugee Sponsorship Groups, Sponsorship Agreement Holders and others
* Deliver training to OCMC and other community mediation volunteers, Sponsorship Groups, Sponsorship Agreement Holders and others, and train CRT and other associates to deliver training
* Supervise the delivery of training for Refugee Sponsorship Groups, Sponsorship Agreement Holders and others
* Propose evaluators to CRT and the RSTP, administer and participate in project evaluation
* Assist the CRT Senior Manager in information collection and reporting required by the project
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: .
* An undergraduate degree in Adult Education, Social Work or a program relevant to the position,
* 2-3 years experience in project development, implementation and management
* Familiarity with Canada's immigrant serving sector and experience working directly with refugees
* Training and/or experience designing and delivering training and coaching for adults
* Demonstrated ability with multi-stakeholder project and time management, excellent attention to detail
* Training or experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) an asset
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a second language is an asset
* Self-motivated and with an ability to work remotely, in person in the GTA and to travel nationally
* Leadership and teamwork skills
* Skilled and experienced in virtual services delivery
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, social media, and databases associated with the project
