Dear all,

I hope this email finds you well. I am sharing a message from Refugee 613. Please see below and connect with Kaylee Perez, ReSpo Project Coordinator, cc’d here, if you have any follow up questions.

Hello!

We’re looking to better understand what ‘sponsor the stranger’ looks like in Canada and need your help. The first step is to complete this survey<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.surveymonkey.com%2Fr%2FReSpoSponsorSurveyRSTP&data=04%7C01%7C%7C5489553674ac473dcbb408d8922eed44%7Ca5827fca282b40a69875772ff7768431%7C0%7C0%7C637420077533604402%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=2L%2FqZo5b4EIkZFpsMrhzrVILpoE%2BHUZ0GR4hMByvfZE%3D&reserved=0> and then share it with other people and organizations like yourself doing this important work. Note - a french version of the survey is now available, please find the link and translation below. La version française suit.

The survey deadline has been extended to December 7, 2020.

This is an opportunity to share about your experience and propose ideas for what change needs to look like! Read on for more details or start the survey now<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.surveymonkey.com%2Fr%2FReSpoSponsorSurveyRSTP&data=04%7C01%7C%7C5489553674ac473dcbb408d8922eed44%7Ca5827fca282b40a69875772ff7768431%7C0%7C0%7C637420077533614396%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=ynR%2FnfQBRUdRlNmm1rDEwi0mOmrN0paVo9JQiXFkNmg%3D&reserved=0>.

Why should YOU fill in this survey?

If you care about strengthening the ways Canada facilitates ‘sponsor the stranger’ sponsorships, care about growing the ways our communities are mutually transformed by the resettlement of refugees, and want to inform the evolution of what this will look like in the future, we want to hear from you!

Who is this survey for?

This survey is for Sponsorship Agreement Holders, Settlement Providing Organizations, and Repeat Sponsorship Groups who engaged in a ‘sponsor-the-stranger’ type sponsorship.

We’re looking for input from organizations, groups, and individuals who facilitate ‘sponsor-the-stranger’ type sponsorships [eg. facilitate sponsorships through the Blended Visa Office Referred (BVOR), Joint Assistance Sponsorship (JAS), Rainbow Refugee Assistance Partnership, etc.].

Why are we doing it?
We want to learn more about the sponsorship ecosystem and how new sponsors are recruited to participate in ‘sponsor-the-stranger’ type programs in Canada

This survey is part of a larger project called ReSpo - Reviewing and Renewing Refugee Sponsorship<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdrive.google.com%2Ffile%2Fd%2F1UHuN-G-kxKztYgrN19GI-1ubNt0az3ef%2Fview&data=04%7C01%7C%7C5489553674ac473dcbb408d8922eed44%7Ca5827fca282b40a69875772ff7768431%7C0%7C0%7C637420077533614396%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=4Wiphg3yQ%2BaT%2FmgpO%2F1Hz8%2BLFLqvwEQRzRTBN2Claqk%3D&reserved=0>. Our goal is to deepen our collective understanding of the ‘sponsor-the-stranger’ sponsorship ecosystem, develop sponsor mobilization strategies, tools, and resources, and suggest promising practices necessary to build foundations for the long term sustainable growth of the BVOR program.

It will only take 10-15 min to complete, and by completing it, you get entered into a draw for a chance to win 1 of 3 prizes worth $50!

Bonjour!
