Dear sponsors,

Please note that there have been some increases in the RAP rates of the following three provinces: Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.  The new rates are posted on the RSTP website and they can be accessed from these links:

The new rates will become effected as of November 01, 2019, and sponsors will be expected to provide financial support to sponsored refugees at least on par with these rates.

In addition, the language on the transportation allowance has slightly changed. As of Nov 01, 2019, a transportation allowance will be provided to each adult including seniors as per the rate of public transit for adults and seniors in their community, or a minimum of $75/month, whichever is greater. In communities where there is no public transit, a flat transportation rate of $75 is issued.
