IRCC wanted us to share some information with you regarding some refugee resettlement cases from the IRCC Migration Office in Dar Es Salaam.  There was a glitch in the system whereby instructions to present themselves for their Immigration Medical Examination (IME) were automatically sent to the applicant at the time the file was created, therefore well before the interview has taken place.  They have since fixed the glitch and are monitoring cases closely to ensure it does not happen in the future.

In response, some of the applicants went ahead and to get their IMEs with a panel physician on their own accord.  For those cases, who have already done IMEs, the officers will try (to the extent possible) to interview the cases before the IME expires, but this may not be possible in all cases. If applicants receive requests for IMEs without having been scheduled for an interview, please check in with ROC-O at IRCC (IRCC.INROCO-CORORI.IRCC at cic.gc.ca<mailto:IRCC.INROCO-CORORI.IRCC at cic.gc.ca> ) before the applicant proceeds with the medical examination to ensure the medical instructions were issued at the correct time.
