You are kindly invited by Canadian Council for Refugees, CCR, to join a virtual meeting on May 1st at 7:00 pm Eastern. Please find details and registration link for this free event below. Your participation is valuable and highly appreciated.

If you can't attend this virtual meeting and you have concerns to bring to the discussion, kindly send me all the details by email.



Invitation to a virtual meeting

The CCR is holding a virtual meeting on May 1, 2019 to discuss concerns related to private sponsorship through the Group of Five or Community Sponsorship avenues, as well as Groups of 2-5 in Quebec.

The meeting is open to anyone involved in this type of sponsorship, in addition to CCR members - please pass this invitation on to people who may be interested.

The virtual meeting is intended to share information and concerns among private sponsors and to consult private sponsors on key questions and concerns, in advance of a workshop on G5 and community sponsorships at the CCR Spring Consultation in Victoria<https://ccrweb.ca/en/meetings>. A summary of the virtual meeting will be presented at the workshop in Victoria, at which IRCC will participate.

We also encourage G5 and community sponsors to attend the consultation in Victoria and come to that workshop!

Invitation à une rencontre virtuelle

Le CCR tiendra une rencontre virtuelle le 1er mai afin de partager des informations à l'égard des parrainages des Groupes 2-5 (au Québec) ou des groupes de cinq / Parrainages communautaires (au fédéral).

La rencontre est ouverte à toute personne impliquée dans ce type de parrainage, en plus des membres du CCR - veuillez transmettre donc cette invitation aux personnes susceptibles d'être intéressées.

La réunion virtuelle a pour but de partager des informations et des préoccupations entre les marraines et les parrains, et de les inviter à identifier des questions et des préoccupations clés, en préparation d'un atelier sur ces parrainages qui aura lieu dans le cadre de la Consultation de printemps du CCR à Victoria<https://ccrweb.ca/fr/reunions>. Un résumé de la réunion virtuelle sera présenté à l'atelier de Victoria auquel IRCC participera.

Nous encourageons également les parrains et marraines à assister à la consultation à Victoria et à participer à cet atelier!

The CCR office is located on unceded Indigenous lands, where the Kanien'kehá:ka Nation (Mohawk) are recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters. The island called Montreal is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien'kehá:ka, and has historically been a meeting place for other Indigenous nations<http://ccrweb.ca/en/ccr-guiding-statement-indigenous-peoples>, including the Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg (Algonquin).

Les bureaux du CCR sont situés en territoire autochtone non cédé, où la nation Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) est reconnue comme gardienne des terres et des eaux.
