[PSRList] Webinaire: Vue d'ensemble du Parrainage Privé de réfugiés en français

Good morning all,

From the information the family provided, it seems as they are highly educated and skilled workers. Syrians in the Gulf are under constant threat of deportation. They are being exploited and forced to accept low pay job offers just to keep their work permits valid.
There was no mention in their email of the English or French language level as it is crucial in applying for the skilled immigrant category.
My personal look at their case is the following; if they can contribute to their financial settlement which is allowed by CIC, maybe they should be given the chance. They will have a higher chance of successful resettlement in Canada. This way, Canada secure two birds in one stone☺ a skilled immigrant and a Syrian refugee.

Maybe they should seek the help of a friend or a family member in Canada if they have any, to help them with a private sponsorship.

Regards,

Good morning everyone,

Obviously the head of the family is a senior accountant, that means the family has been living in Saudi Arabia for log time and they are not refugees. This is only food for thought! I think it would be preferable to give chances to those who are more vulnerable or/and their lives at are risk.

Gratefully,

Hello Fairouza and all,

To me, this is the first family that is not in Jordan or Lebanon or Turkey, my question is: do they still have to go to any of the countries listed above or they can apply from Saudi Arabia, since they are anyway outside Syria?

Thank you,
