RSTP is offering two workshops in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia:



1. Sydney, Nova Scotia:

Date: Saturday, August 13, 2016

Time: 9:45 am - 2:00 pm (lunch provided)

Location: New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation, 33 Nepean Street, Sydney, Nova Scotia



RSTP in partnership with: The Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, YMCA Recognizing Enhancing Aligning Community Horizons (YREACH), and New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation



Workshop topic: Private Refugee Sponsorship: Supporting Settlement, including the following topics:

*                      Settlement challenges & best practices

*                      Boundaries & ethical aspects of sponsoring & volunteering

*                      Cultural sensitivity

*                      Managing expectations

*                      Working together and conflict resolution

*                      Empowerment and self-determination
