[PSRList] PSR List Usage Guidelines

Dear PSR List Members,

 

We would like to point out a few rules related to the use of the PSR list
serve. As list members, we ask that you please make yourself familiar with
and follow these guidelines.

 

*        The PSR List is an email-based distribution list and discussion
forum for persons who are either active or interested in the Private
Sponsorship Of Refugees (PSR) program in Canada. The list is maintained by
the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP), and currently has 407
subscribers.

 

*        To join the list, please send an email notification to the RSTP at
info at rstp.ca <mailto:info at rstp.ca> . 

 

*        If you would like to post something to the list, please consider
the topic (i.e.: it should be relevant to the PSR program and community) and
its relevance. 

 

*        We ask that you respect the privacy and main confidentiality of
refugees whom you have or intend to sponsor, by not posting messages to the
list that contain identifiable information such as first and last names,
file numbers, and dates of birth. 

 

*        Please DO NOT FORWARD or PUBLISH INFORMATION from this list without
expressed consent of the person who has posted the message. The PSR List is
closed to government and media so that subscribers can safely exchange
information.

 

*        To ensure that the list is free of discrimination and oppression,
we ask that all posts to the list reflect respect and dignity, and refrain
from using offensive language. The RSTP reserves the right to remove any
subscribers who post discriminatory, oppressive or offensive messages to the
list. 

 

*        To post to the list, address your email to psr at list.rstp.ca
